Last month, Maroon 5 released a catchy new version of their hit, “Wake Up Call”. The original rendition appears on Maroon 5’s latest album, “It Won’t Be Soon Before Long”.
The new version was remixed by Mark Ronson (Christina Aguilera, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen) and features vocals from six-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige. Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine has managed to become a celebrity of sorts outside of the group.
He has been featured on numerous magazine covers and has been linked to everyone from Paris Hilton to Rihanna to Britney Spears. Levine says that his persona and personality is something that comes with his job.
He said: “There needs to be a strong frontman, that’s my job. Trust me, people do not mind having the spotlight taken off them in this band and I really like the spotlight. As long as I’m pretty, I’ll use it to sell records.”
